Me.
Krina is a specialist TMJ physiotherapist with 10 years experience in the TMJ alone. She is known for her holistic approach whereby she looks at every possible cause or contributing factor for your TMD. This can be sleep, posture, lifestyle, habits, food, other medical conditions and so much more. She then adds this knowledge to a comprehensive hands on assessment to give you the patient a full picture on your condition. This can be done via her online TMD consultations or in her London and South Buckinghamshire clinics. Her recommendations come from three areas, firstly, her degree in Physiotherapy and subsequent international postgraduate education in TMD which allows her to treat the physical aspect of TMD - the joint, the surrounding muscles and its biomechanics. Secondly, her second degree in Biomedical Sciences allows her to understand your physiology and thirdly hours of CPD on lifestyle medicine allows her to assess your contributing factors to TMD. What sets Krina apart from other TMD practitioners is that she exclusively treats TMD, will look at the root cause and has access to a wide network of TMD related practitioners to help with your TMD journey.

My Goals
There are five main goals that I work with:
1. To educate patients on the importance of stretching and strengthening which will in turn help to manage pain and accelerate tissue healing.
2. To educate the patient on correct posture and ergonomic principles to preserve the spine.
3. To accelerate the stages of healing through reducing pain and the inflammatory cycle by:
restoring muscular flexibility, joint mobility and spine motion through stretching
strengthening the relevant muscles
returning the patient to normal activities
assessing the patients nutritional status to aid healing
4. Preventing future occurrences.
5. Managing exacerbation.
